Day 1 of the Names of God

10 Names God

Elohei Tehillati – God of My Praise

He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen.

– Deuteronomy 10:21

I can do nothing apart from You, so You are worthy of all my heartfelt and truest praise.

When you hear the word “praise,” what comes to mind? Your favorite worship song? A sermon you recently heard about glorifying God? An inspirational book you read about giving the Lord our praise and worship?

It can be tempting to think of praise as a Sunday-only thing or something we do as part of our morning devotional time or evening prayer. And while God does desire that we worship Him on a regular basis, which can often scheduled into our busy lives, we need to remember that praise is a lifestyle for the believer.

Start seeing your life from a spiritual perspective. We all have those moments when we do something right or something goes our way, and we try to take credit for what God has done. But remember, we can’t do anything apart from God. He’s the one who ultimately deserves gratitude and glory in every aspect of our lives.

God is our strength and our song on Sunday morning, during our devotional time, and in every other part of our lives. He deserves glory for all good things, and He deserves our worship all week long. So look for opportunities to praise Him when you’re taking your daily walk, working at your job, or even when you’re grocery shopping. The miracle of His love often shows up in the most unexpected places when we live a lifestyle of praise.

For His kingdom,
